During this festive season, Mari Orchard invited us to to the their Thanksgiving Durian Party at their orchard in Sungai Klau, Raub to celebrate the precious connections with the people that had crossed path with them. While celebrating life, a moment of silence was given to commemorate the lives that were lost in the recent landslide.
It was heartwarming and tummy filling potluck party with free flow of durians from the host. Guests brought their home cooked vegan dishes, where everybody enjoyed them using their own food containers and cutleries, no single-used plastic or paper cups were used.Â
When everyone chips in, a community is formed. It happens organically when we start to care for one another’s’ and also the environment’s wellbeing.
